2nd Annual #570Day Highlights NEPA on May 7
From Press Release:
Northeast Pennsylvania packs a whole lot into one corner of the state. Last year’s inaugural #570Day was proof as residents, businesses and organizations spent the day flooding social media with photos and videos of some of the best people and places in the region.
#570Day is back again this year! On Saturday, May 7, 2022, event organizers are encouraging everyone across Northeast PA to celebrate local pride by using #570Day on social media to share what they love about the 570 area.
Highlight your favorite park, shout out your Friday night pizza spot, thank a special teacher or show off a local product.
#570Day, held yearly on May 7th, is a chance to let the good in our area shine.
In honor of the 2nd annual #570Day, organizers are taking it to the next level and going beyond the post.
That means while everyone is sharing on social media, they’re also asking businesses, organization and individuals to put the 570 love into action.
The idea is to not only share what you love about the area, but to also get out and experience it.
Here are some examples of how to patriciate:
- Offer a #570Day deal or special offer to promote your business
- Organize a #570Day community cleanup
- Hop on a trail for a #570Day hike
- Grab dinner at your favorite 570 eatery
- Put a spin on your specialty…create $570Day treats, host a #570Day yoga class or sponsor a #570Day dinner
#570Day began in 2021 as an online initiative born through the combined, creative efforts of the Wilkes-Barre Rotary Club, the Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visit Luzerne County.
The day aims to spread positivity, local pride, and celebrate the people and places within the 570 area code.
With so much in Northeastern PA and so many stories to tell, they hope this movement will continue to grow as it’s celebrated yearly on May 7th.
