Episode 116: #OnTheStacks in the blu door studio with Joe Van Wie, host of the AllBetter Podcast. At 12 years old, Joe had his first sip of alcohol. He struggled with addiction on and off for 20+ years and used alcohol and drugs to fill a void of feeling disconnected from society. “Who is Joe going to be before he dies?” That is the question he asked him after waking up from a 19-day coma and realizing he wanted a second chance at life. Joe currently works in the recovery industry and just broke ground on construction of a youth transitional living facility in downtown Scranton. The clinic is set to open in the fall 2022.
